| The One Step Fecal Occult Blood Test is a simple, direct binding immunoassay for the rapid and qualitative detection of human occult blood in feces. The assay is designed to detect lower levels of colorectal bleeding than other biochemical detection methods. The test principle is an immunochromatographic sandwich method, which employ two specific monoclonal antibodies to selectively identify hemoglobin in test samples. |
Interpretation of Results
Negative: Only one colored band appears on the control (C) region. No apparent band on the test (T) region.
Positive: In addition to a pink coloured control (C) band, a distinct pink colored band will also appear in the test (T) region.
Invalid: A total absence of color in both regions is an indication of procedure error and/or the test reagent has deteriorated.
